Delicious entrees on the bufete. Breakfast was on spot! Friendly service and awesome prices!
Staff was friendly and food was good. Nice stop on a road trip
Had the hunters breakfast and the 1 egg breakfast and split it between 2 of us with tones of food left over. Everything was fresh and hot and the pancakes and biscuits were fluffy. This place has just jumped to the top of our breakfast list. Bacon, ham, sausage and eggs cooked to perfection.
Great little lunch buffet. Service was quick and friendly. If you're running down hwy 6 you gotta stop in.
I’ve been to this café a few times since it’s the only breakfast spot in De Leon, and the food has usually been good. But today I was served a spoiled steak. After one bite I had to spit it out—it was extremely sour. The smell was so strong, like garbage, that my husband could smell it across the table. When he picked up the steak to check, he nearly gagged. I honestly can’t understand how something with such a strong odor ever made it out of the kitchen, let alone onto a skillet. If food smells that bad, it’s clearly unsafe and should never be served. The waitress did apologize and I ordered a different meal, but by then both my husband and I had lost our appetites and we got our meals to go. I’m just hoping I don’t get sick. I wasn’t charged for the steak, but it was still a very unsettling experience—especially with the bill still coming out to $37.
The food is always great here and service is always friendly. Quick and understanding on any messed ups. Great ppl own it now a must try if ur ever here in this small town I call home
Food was awful. Over medium eggs were more like a hard boiled egg, ham & hash browns were old tasting. Fries & steak fingers tasted like old grease. Gravy was yucky. Never offered any refills. Waited about ten minutes after covering food with napkin for check, never brought so went up front to check out. Wasn't crowded.just total lack of caring about the service.
Wife & I were driving south on Hwy 6 Sunday after Thanksgiving & reached DeLeon about 11:30. Hwy 6 Cafe parking lot was filling up, so we found a slot near the highway. After scanning the lunch buffet layout we decided to try it. Lots of choices and all was good. Soon after 12:00 noon, the local families began filling all the tables. They had clearly been there for Sunday Lunch buffet before and did not hesitate to get in the buffet line. The kitchen crew & wait staff were prepared to keep the buffet line served for the rush. We had made a good choice for our parking slot and were able to depart when we were ready to go
